Beach Sarafovo

Sarafovo Beach is a calm, neighbourhood beach in the residential quarter of Sarafovo on the northern outskirts of Burgas, Bulgaria's largest Black Sea port city. Sarafovo sits on a low headland between Burgas Bay to the south and the open coast to the north. The beach occupies the southern side of this headland, facing Burgas Bay, which gives it natural protection from north-easterly swells and makes the water notably calmer than at more exposed beaches along the coast. On a typical summer day the sea at Sarafovo is flat or gently rippled, with waves rarely exceeding half a metre. This sheltered character makes it one of the best choices on the coast for families with very young children and for elderly swimmers who prefer gentle water.
